Yearly, over the 4th of July, the Eastport Port Authority and the community of Eastport as a whole proudly plays host to the United States Navy by welcoming a member of the fleet. The community does it’s very best to show our appreciation for the men and women of our armed services during Eastport’s world famous 4th of July and “Old Home Week”.  In 2007 we were honored to have served host to Commander Mary M. Jackson, officers and crew of the USS McFaul DDG 74.   Great times were had and CMD Jackson was one of the finest participants ever had in the Cod Fish Relay.
