Yearly, over the 4th of July, the Eastport Port Authority and the community of Eastport as a whole proudly plays host to the United States Navy by welcoming a member of the fleet. The community does it’s very best to show our appreciation for the men and women of our armed services during Eastport’s world famous 4th of July and “Old Home Week”. In 2008, we were honored to welcome CDR Kristen Jacobsen, officers and crew of the USS Hawes FFG 53.
